Yo Gabba Gabba Quilt

Here is Abbey's Yo Gabba Gabba Quilt
She loves this so much, and I thought she lost it today when her friend saw it for the first time. Looks like I may be making a second one here soon.

This didn't take too long to make, and I am sure happy with it.

I just wanted to take a moment and share it.

Honored

On Monday, May 18th, 2009 ... some dear friends of ours endured something no parent ever wants to have to go through. Their daughter was born stillborn. This was something they knew about 3 weeks before hand. They had some time to come to terms with what was about to happen, and even at times tried to convince them themselves the machine were wrong.

It was asked of me to make a baby quilt for her, something that she could be buried with. The quilts are on their way to the post office as I type this to be overnighted to Arkansas. There are two of them. One for the baby and one for mom. I feel honored to have been asked.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with the Danner family!
We love you guys!

Abbey's Little BooBoo

Sooooo, Monday afternoon ... around 3:18pm Abbey started crying. She stopped, took a few steps and started crying all over again. I picked her up to check her out ... ran my hand over her feet and came back with some blood. After checking her out and NOT being sure if anything was in her foot ... we loaded up and RAN to the doc office. They worked us in, once we saw the doc he told me this:

He wasn't sure if anything was in there. HOWEVER, if there was something he would have to send her somewhere else to have it removed. Sooo, he sent us for xrays. If the xrays showed something we would be sent somewhere. If the xrays didn't show anything and it didn't get any better he would still send us somewhere else.

TUESDAY: 4pm ... Doc office calls. There is something in her foot. We go in the morning to have it removed.

It was a small piece of glass. We have NO CLUE where it even came from. She was not a happy camper, having to lay still to be messed with. But she was a big girl and is going to be OK!

Trip To The Beach

We went to the beach today.
Drove up to Venice to visit the dog beach.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and came home tired!

Emily playing close to the water with some sand toys.

Abbey playing in the sand.

Elvis running through the tide.

Elvis and two other boxers that were there at the beach.

This is just a funny picture of him running towards me from down the beach a little ways. Look at those jaws, just a flappin!

Peace River Elementary Auction

Peace River Elementary is going to be holding an auction. They have sent letters home asking people of the community to offer a product, service, etc. So, below are pictures of the products I have created to offer for the auction.

I embroidered two crayon roll ups with Peace River Elementary and a paw print. One in blue and one pink. So who knows, maybe they will at least bring in $20 for the school. I like them, lol.

Grandma's Lucky Stars

Grandma's Lucky Stars
2009

So, I made my mom a bag. I call it ... GRANDMA'S LUCKY STARS 2009.
This bag includes a star and name of each grandchild. (At least those she has as of RIGHT now).
So who knows if another bag will need to be made later down the line, but for now this bag is current. I think it's just really cute. I hope she likes it, I'll be shipping it soon ... not going to tell her it's coming, LOL.

Weekend

Busy Weekend!

Abbey had a play date on Saturday. She had a blast, but afterward it was off to Walmart to get a few things. NOTE TO SELF: Saturday NOT a good day to make a trip to walmart.

Then it was home where we hung out watching some tv. I did some sewing/embroidery. Made the dog a bandana collar.

Sunday we went to the park to let the dog play. Emily and Abbey got to play as well.
Rebekah spent the weekend with Sara.
Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Elvis and Midnight.
Two lazy bums.

Elvis, showing off his Spoiled Rotten bandana.

Abbey at the park.
Say CHEESE!

Gulp, Gulp ... Emily needed some water to wash all that sand down.

Abbey, can't you see the curiosity in her face?

Abbey, just being cute.

Abbey up close and personal.

Emily and Abbey.

Yummy, maybe we should feed her some REAL food soon?

Emily, she is really focused on doing something here.

Abbey, she is happy ... she got her favorite shovel.

Pretty Picture of Abbey.

Well, those are some pics from our weekend.
Hope everyone has a great week.

Busy Day Yesterday

Yesterday was BUSY!!!

Started off the morning by designing a few beach bags, checking email and all that good stuff. Had an email from Trish, she SERIOUSLY wanted me to call her. So I did, lol. She came by to get a few of the Crayon Roll Ups and to finally MEET. I do believe she said something about the emailing was just driving her crazy, so she had to do something about it. It was a nice meeting. She finally got to see the crafts I work on and I got to see hers. I LOVED the apron she showed me SUPER cute! Sad as it is to say I was a little jealous when I saw the wraps she makes, if I had had one of those when Abbey was smaller that is where she would have been all the time. So if you are reading this and know someone who needs a wrap to carry that bundle of joy around, let me know I'll get you in touch with her.

Pictures below will show what I did with the rest of the day.

My daughter loves this guy in this group, so I made her a bag to carry her things.

Butterfly/Believe bag is up for sale. $10

Peace/Love bag was made for my middle daughter. She LOVES anything to do with PEACE. So again, although this one is spoken for it can be remade for only $10.

Flip Flops Beach Bag for sale $10.
I love this bag. I will be taking a low heat iron to it later today to get out the hoop wrinkle.

So, that is what I did yesterday. Will most likely work on more today as well.

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Custom Order
Adrianna's Crayons

Sorry the pictures aren't they great, my camera was being stupid. Hey, at least I got something to show!!! LOL

I think this one is cute too.
Just gotta love that Dora fabric!!

Adrianna, her mom and little brother stopped by this afternoon. Adrianna looked at the fabric choices and picked the above print. She then picked the felt color, the thread color and the ribbon color. They left for church and then came back by afterwards to pick up her custom order. I'm glad I was able to get hers done so quickly, she seemed rather sad to have to leave without it the first time.

~*~ Pink/Green Camo Dress~*~

****Pink/Green Camo Dress****

2T/3T ~ $12

Another dress pulled my stash of fabric. Slowly I am putting things together and using what I have. I'm still collecting all of my "left overs" for either a quilt or some fabric scraps to freecycle. There is another one sitting here, cut out and ready to go ... but all the sudden I'm not feeling so well. Maybe it's the 3 pieces of choc I ate from my Valentines Day heart. I dunno. So ... should I get to feeling better .. I bet I will have that dress together today as well. When I do, you can count on me having it pictured and posted. Gotta share what I have done.

~*~ New Dresses, Again~*~

****NEW DRESSES, AGAIN****

Well, here are TWO of the dresses I have been working on the past few days. There is one not pictured ... it was made for my 9 yr old and she already has it hanging in her closet. When she wears it I will get a picture of her in it and post that.

I am torn, should I sell these or let my little one have them, lol. They are so darn CUTE!!! I think these will be for Abbey. Maybe she will let me get a GOOD picture of her wearing them and I can post those as well.

It's now back to the drawing (sewing) board. Gonna take a LONG look at my stash again and see what I can come up with.
